Rename a whole folder
in one pass
BatchName is a browser extension for Safari and Chrome. It batch-renames files on nine cloud drives, including Quark, Alibaba Cloud Drive and Baidu Netdisk, right in the web page. Every change is previewed, conflicts are caught before anything runs, and a whole batch can be undone in one click.

Preview first, rename second
Preview, conflict detection and undo are the baseline, because you should never act on what you cannot see. Filtering and search narrow hundreds of files down to the batch you meant. Filenames are processed entirely on your computer, and the interface can follow your system language and appearance.
See the result before you commit
One row per file, old name → new name, with the changed characters highlighted. Look over the whole list before you run anything, so a bad rule shows up early.
Conflicts caught up front
Files that would overwrite each other, and rename cycles (A→B while B→A), are detected before execution. A dialog lets you resolve them one by one, so no file is lost silently.
Undo the last batch
Renamed something by mistake? One click restores the whole batch to the original names, with no manual fixing.
Your data stays on your computer
Parsing, matching and generating filenames all happen locally in the browser. No server is involved, and the extension has no backend and no accounts.
Filter and search
Filter by file or folder type, search by keyword. Pick out just the batch you want from a folder of hundreds.
Three languages, light and dark
Switch between 简体中文, 繁體中文 and English at any time. Light, dark, or follow the system.
Where the panel opens from
The floating button, bottom right
Open a file list on any supported drive and a “Batch rename” pill appears in the bottom-right corner. Click it to open the panel. Drag it anywhere and it remembers where you put it, per drive.
The browser toolbar icon
Click the pencil icon in the browser toolbar to check whether the current site is recognised, toggle the floating button, and switch language or appearance.

From fixing a typo to sorting out a whole season
Four everyday rules cover the common cases; two advanced ones handle messy batches. “Extract episode” is for media libraries: episodes saved from someone else’s share carry release groups, resolutions and codec tags in the filename, so scrapers can’t work out the season and episode. This rule rebuilds them into a clean format. Your parameters are remembered, so the next folder starts where you left off.
Replace text
CommonSwap one piece of text for another. Optionally match case, and replace either the first occurrence or all of them.
Before[电影天堂]星际穿越.2014.mkvAfter星际穿越.2014.mkvFind [电影天堂] → replace with nothing
Add text
CommonInsert fixed text at the start or end of the filename, with a separator of your choosing.
Before第01集.mp4After流浪地球 - 第01集.mp4Prepend "流浪地球", separator " - "
Add numbering
CommonNumber files sequentially in list order. Set the starting value, zero padding, and whether the number goes first or last.
Before风景照.jpgAfter001 风景照.jpgStart at 1, pad to 3 digits, prefix, space separator
Clean up filename
CommonReplace characters the file system rejects with underscores. You can also list extra characters to delete outright.
Before会议纪要<最终版>?.docxAfter会议纪要_最终版__.docxRemove illegal characters (replaced with _)
Regex replace
AdvancedMatch and replace with a regular expression. Supports capture groups, custom flags, and an option to include the extension. Invalid patterns are flagged as you type, so a broken rule never reaches execution.
BeforeS01E05.1080p.WEB-DL.mkvAfterS01E05.mkvPattern \.\d+p.*$ → replace with nothing
Extract episode
AdvancedFind the episode number buried in a messy filename and rebuild it as a clean show + season/episode name. Set the season, an episode offset and zero padding, and add anchor words when the number is ambiguous.
Before[SubGroup] Show - 05 [1080p][x265].mkvAfter毕业季 S01E005.mkvShow "毕业季", season 1, pad to 3 digits
Your filenames never leave your computer
BatchName has no backend, no accounts and no telemetry. Filenames are parsed, matched and generated entirely on your computer, and the rename request goes straight to the drive you are already signed in to, the same as if you had renamed each file by hand.
- No personal data collected, no file contents read
- Rule settings stay in local browser storage, clearable any time
- Runs only on the drive page you have open
